Event Description:

Lunch & Learn: Retirement Investing 101

Did you know that the average American worker changes jobs every 4.4 years?  Although many employers have programs that help workers save for retirement, when we start a new job, our 401(k)s don’t typically get to come along. As a result, many of us accrue an assortment of retirement savings accounts over time that we don’t know what to do with.

Scott Puritz, Managing Director of
Rebalance IRA, will help you make an informed decision about your retirement savings in light of changes in the workplace and the rapid transformation of the financial services industry due to technological innovation. He’ll review the fundamentals of retirement investing, including asset allocation, diversification, and rebalancing.

You’ll learn about:

• Index investing, and why it has proven to be the most effective strategy for increasing savings with low risk
• Why hidden fees are the Achilles heel of most retirement investors
• Key questions to ask a financial adviser to ensure that they are acting in your best interest

Armed with an understanding of these concepts, you’ll feel empowered to rescue your stranded 401(k)s and make decisions that will help you retire with more.

When: Wednesday, February 7, noon-1 pm

Where:  Greater Bethesda Chamber of Commerce Board Room

RSVP:  Space is limited. To reserve a seat, please email Laura Long at
