My fiancé and I decided to try a new bar, and we loved it, the food choices are amazing, the wings are probably one of the best that we've had in a while, I had the burger, but I definitely enjoyed my other half's meal more, that Ruben was just fantastic. The service was great no complaints at all, she was wonderful. Love the feel of this place with all the great music playing, sports on the TVs just a great time. Thank you.

Two stars only because I am not the cohort for this bar. This is very much the place for the young college-age crowd: too sugary drinks in plastic cups, 182,394,593,495 girls packed into a three-stall semi-clean restroom and "just okay" tvs for game watching. Good part it's in a location with lots of other options so I didn't feel stuck there.
Could have just been the one Friday night I was there, but doesn't seem like the place for anyone over the age of 25.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nov 7, 2023
Great place to watch sports! Caddies is plastered with large televisions both inside and outside. They offer about 8 beers on tap and also offer a full bar. I enjoyed cheering on my football team here and being able to easily watch other games during the commercial breaks. I would recommend Caddies for watching sports in Bethesda.

My husband's favorite style of pizza is Detroit style. We had a great place back in Texas that he loved (I think it made Yelp's list of best pizzas in the US last year), and though we've found good Detroit style pizza in Silver Spring, it's not the most conveniently located for takeout and doesn't do dine in so we have only gotten it once.
So when I was looking up the restaurants participating in Bethesda restaurant week and saw that there was a bar that had good Detroit style pizza as well as good deli sandwiches, I figured we needed to give this place a try.
We came on a Thursday night around 6pm, it was very lightly attended but got a little busier as we were there. Their restaurant week special was a medium 1 topping pizza, to which we added a few, 10 wings (we chose the asian chili flavor) and fried oreos, for $35 (we also added a couple drinks and a small caesar).
My favorite parts of the meal were the wings - delicious sauce reminiscent of a general tsos, but superior because the chicken was meaty and not breaded - and the fried oreos, which were like fresh donut balls with an oreo in the middle, served with ice cream. They gave us six of these. One or two per person is MORE than sufficient, so we took some home. They were surprisingly delicious.
The caesar and the pizza were good, but not best in class. I think the only issue with the pizza is the sauce; it was very thin and not particularly robust. The crust was light and airy like a good Detroit style should be, and the toppings were fine but not necessarily standout.
The servers were very nice and pretty attentive, though I think they'd forgotten about the restaurant week thing which was kind of funny, I guess it's not advertised as well as it could be. There is a parking garage nearly next door which was a relief since it was a rainy night. They do have a large patio which I look forward to sitting out on when the weather is good again.
We will be back and I will definitely have some wings and maybe try some deli food. Hubs can have the pizza, but I only eat Detroit style when it's perfect, I'm picky about how I spend my carb-calorie budget. Don't take that as an indictment though - it's good, most will like it just fine. I'm diabetic though and have to save my splurges.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 148156224Jun 18, 2023
I'm going with a two to give them the benefit of the doubt as we did not order any food. However, after dinner we decided to come here because it looked cool with the open doors and it was beautiful outside. We sat down and immediately noticed so many types of bugs flying around different parts of the ceiling. These weren't just bugs coming in from the open doors, but we're clearly after something. They were deeper in the bar as well. I totally wish we got up and left, but my husband feels awkward doing that. Eventually a waitress came back and we ordered two drinks and ripped them back pretty quickly but she never came by again and we had flag someone else down to cash out. I just felt so gross and that the bugs were all over me.

Wow! I'm surprised this place is rated below 4 area. I ordered two weeks ago on DoorDash for me and my fiancé and we were very impressed with both the Jewish food and Detroit Pizza. The Grand Slam sandwich which was ginormous and we saved the other half for a sandwich the next day. It is good, it is almost there with Attman's and beats most other Jewish delis, including Parkway. We also had Cheesy Waffle Fries on the side which complimented our sandwich well. The matzo ball soup was delicious as well.
The Jewish deli was originally part of Heckman's Deli which has the same owner and then became part of Caddies Grapevine Detroit Style Pizza was also delicious and one of the best pizzas we've had with all the toppings we love. I believe the Detroit Style Pizza idea came from Underground Pizza Company that had a pop up here as well as well next to us at the now closed Olazzo in Silver Spring (luckily for us they'll open up at Olazzo's space). However, Caddies now has their own excellent speciality pizzas that differ from Underground. All in all, we very impressed and look forward to ordering from here again.Helpful 9Thanks 0Love this 10Oh no 0 - Runer M.Washington, DC025Mar 27, 2024
I can't believe it's that hard to find servers in this area for a Saturday night. We had one, and food and beverages were served timely - she was just the rudest I've had in recent memory. I was a waitress for years, and I get it. But get a new job if you hate people and waiting tables. She had black curly-ish hair pulled back in a high bun, black yoga pants, and gray and black under armour tennis shoes. She did not smile once. She was annoyed that we couldn't get the app pulled up on our phones. (If you want to see a menu, you must scan the QR code and look on your phone. It will show you maybe 4 beers at a time. You can't see prices. Really, for people like my father who was with us, please just keep a few hard-copy menus on hand.) We got French Dip sliders, fries, onion rings for the table, and a Reuben with *the Thousand Island on the side* and a side salad. Fries were EPIC!! Side salad came with at least 1/2 cup of croutons on it - you could literally barely see the salad. Reuben had Thousand Island on it, as well as two small containers on the side. Told the waitress, very politely, I'm so sorry, but this has Thousand Island on it. She said, "You ordered it with Thousand Island on the side - so those are your Thousand Islands on the side." I said we ordered it ON the side. (Totally understand mistakes happen, but this should be basic waitressing. And if you misunderstand, it's super easy to just say sorry and fix it.) I asked if I could please get my half of a sandwich remade with no Thousand Island on it. She snarkily repeated, "SO, you want half a sandwich with no Thousand Island?" I was thinking, uh, yeah, I want the sandwich I ORDERED, but I am fine with just half since my dad and I were splitting and he didn't mind the Thousand Island as much. Ultimately she did it, but zero apology, she was clearly peeved, and I was made to feel like somehow I was in the wrong. In sum, I won't be back. Tommy Joe's has better onion rings, I prefer the Reuben at the Dubliner downtown, and while the fries are fantastic, it's not worth putting up with that much attitude.

Total dive bar with a lively vibe. Crowd was an interesting mix of young 20 something's and baby boomers. Drinks were good and the potato skins were surprisingly good. It was loaded with bacon so you can't go wrong there. We were there to catch the band Whiskey Neat. They were quite good! Apparently the lead singer was sick so another singer subbed for him and she was pretty good even though at times her voice was drowned by the guitar and drums. Would definitely come back to catch the band again.

Stopped into Caddies for quick drinks with a couple of friends. While we didn't grab any food, the drink selection was solid overall, but nothing too impressive (only a couple of local or craft items on the menu). Probably to be expected given the venue.
Plenty of TVs with sports on - a little loud and bustling. They had a live band playing covers which was a nice addition to the atmosphere.
Service was quick and efficient at the bar. Definitely a good sports bar to stop by for a quick game and drink.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - T J.Gaithersburg, MD03Jun 9, 2023
Food and vibe was great. I went on Wednesday because I seen the flyer about all night happy hour. Bingo was fun. I brought my fam to celebrate my sisters college graduation but the big guy at the bar totally ruined our vibe. He refused to acknowledge us at the bar trying to order food. Then when I noticed he messed up my tab and overcharged me, he refused to hear me out or fix it. I really enjoyed the vibe but that alone makes me apprehensive about returning and it's sucks because I'm a new local looking for some great everyday spots.
