ADVENTURE HONORS SETH GOLDMAN, CO-FOUNDER AND TeaEO EMERITUS OF HONEST TEA AT ITS 2019 GALA

 

With performances by Broadway Star, Amber Iman, and ATMTC’s Pre-Professional Company

 

What:Adventure Theatre MTC (ATMTC), recent recipient of four 2019 Helen Hayes Nominations, is proud to announce that it will honor Seth Goldman, Co-Founder and TeaEO Emeritus of Honest Tea and Executive Chairman of Beyond Meats, at its Annual Gala on March 14, 2019 where Broadway actress, Amber Iman will perform with its Pre-Professional Company. Adventure Theatre MTC recognizes Mr. Goldman’s achievements in children’s physical health and wellbeing and his commitment to social responsibility.

Who: Seth Goldman founded Honest Tea out of his home in 1998 with Barry Nalebuff of the Yale School of Management. Today, Honest Tea is the nation’s top-selling organic bottled tea and is carried in more than 140,000 outlets. Under his leadership, Honest Tea developed innovative partnerships with its organic and Fair Trade Certified™ suppliers. He now splits his time between Honest Tea and Beyond Meat, where he is the Executive Chairman of the Board. A graduate of Harvard College (1987) and the Yale School of Management (1995), Goldman was awarded the Henry Crown Fellow of the Aspen Institute. He and Nalebuff are the authors of the New York Times bestseller Mission in a Bottle, a business book told in comic book form, which was published in September 2013. 

Amber Iman made her Broadway debut as the High Priestess of Soul, Nina Simone, in Soul Doctor, earning rave reviews and a nomination for the prestigious Clive Barnes Award. A recipient of the Emery Battis Award for Acting Excellence & a Helen Hayes Award nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Musical, for Shakespeare Theatre Company’s Man of La Mancha, Amber returned to Broadway in Shuffle Along, Or, The Making of the Musical Sensation of 1921 and All That Followed. The show, nominated for 10 Tony Awards and boasted an all-star cast of Audra McDonald, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Billy Porter, Joshua Henry, and Brandon Victor Dixon. Marking her first national tour, Amber played Peggy Schuyler/Maria Reynolds for a year with the 11-time Tony Award winning smash hit HAMILTON.

The Pre-Professional Program is a group of committed and gifted students in grades 4–12 who are preparing for a college and/or a professional career in the performing arts.
