For Immediate Release Shared Horizons Announces Second Annual Disability Summit Planning Long-term with Love and Purpose Washington, D.C., February 11, 2020: Shared Horizons, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for people with disabilities, has announced that its 2020 Disability Summit, “Planning Long-term with Love and Purpose,” will be held on Saturday, March 28 at the Bethesda Hyatt Regency. The event will include a full day of networking and presentations from area experts in estate and financial planning, special needs trusts, guardianship, public benefits and more. “Planning for the future of your loved ones with disabilities can be a challenging experience,” said Yolanda A. Mazyck, executive director of Shared Horizons, which recently marked its 15th anniversary. “Whether you are initiating the planning process or reviewing your existing plan, having a basic knowledge of disability benefits and the changes in available planning options will help families as they engage their network of community partners to carry out their wishes.” Cost of registration for the Summit is $50, which includes access to multiple presentations and a resource fair, as well as continental breakfast and lunch. Area businesses and organizations are invited to participate as exhibitors for a donation of $100 (nonprofit) or $200 (for-profit). Several sponsorship opportunities are also available.
